09:30 You will be picked up from your hotel in Pamukkale or Karahayit, dirve to Laodicia. The city established in the C3 BCE by the Seleucid Antiochus II, the city was named after his wife Laodicea. Built on the Lycus Tributary of the Meander River, it was surnamed Laodicea on Lycus, to distinguish it from other similarly named cities. Laodicia is the last of the seven churches. As a crossroad of two important roads, this city had an important commercial and logistical position. The city was apparently addressed with the nearby cities of Hierapolis and Colossae and was no doubt linked in trade and commerce with those cities. After visiting Laodicia drive to Kaklik Cave. Also, It is known as the 'Underground Pamukkale', this site is located around 40kms from Pamukkale. The cave is full of travertine waters, stalagmites, stalactites and a large quantity of sulphur. The amount of sulphur makes the cave quite odorous. The cave was formed over 2.5 million years ago, during the Pliocene Period. The roof collapsed, allowing entrance. After visiting Kaklik Cave, drive to local restaurant to have lunch. Then drive to Akhan Caravansary. It is one of the latest West Seljukian Caravanserais is relatively small in both layout and design. One of the outer walls of the caravanserai is covered with marble. That's why it is Scalled "Akhan". There are two inscriptions in the Caravanserai which indicate that the enclosed part was completed in 1253-1254 A.D.
