7 DAYS CRUISING THE AYEYARWADDY IN STYLE TOUR ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Yangon - Arrival Day
Welcome to Myanmar. Upon arrival in Yangon International Airport meet with our local representative in the airport. We will transfer to your hotel in Yangon for checking in and settle down, (If you arrived by mid day flight, we may proceed for lunch.)

After lunch, we will have a walk together through downtown Yangon, a diverse mix of faded colonial architecture from the British times, and high-rises built by more recent investors; Sule Pagoda, built in the early 3rd century is a landmark in the city centre.

Late afternoon visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda of Rudyard Kipling fame and one of Myanmars most sacred places. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds and rubies, sapphires and topaz - a stunning sight as the sun sets and a most fitting place to begin our trip in this Golden Land. At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2 - Yangon - Mandalay

After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel to airport for your flight to Mandalay. When you arrive at Mandalay airport, meet with our local representative and we will drive to ancient capital of Amarapura, the city of Immortality for a visit to Bagaya Monastery with a famous collection of Buddha images; weaving industries, two-century old U-Bein teak bridge on the Taungtaman Lake and observe the lunch process of thousand of monks who take their last meal of the day at 10:00 am in total silence. Afterwards we will continue proceed to Mandalay. You will be given your room key of the hotel and have a little break.

After a short break, Turkey Travel Bazaar will take you to have the sightseeing tour of Mandalay which includes Mahanumi, a life like Buddha image. Mandalay is the last capital of Myanmar and that make her to be the best place to see all the traditional arts and crafts.

Then we start visiting gold leaf making work-place and see how the gold leaf is being made by hand in a traditional way. Continue visit the Old Palace grounds; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the worlds largest book for its 729 marble slabs inscribed with the Buddhas Doctrine; Also we will visit Golden Palace Monastery where is noted for its exquisite wood carvings, enjoy the panoramic view of the city from Mandalay Hill. At the end of the tour, transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 3 - Mandalay - Mingun - Inwa - Mandalay

After breakfast, we will pick you up and depart for Jetty for a private boat accross the rive Ayeywarwaddy to visit Mingun. The dedications of King Bodawpaya such as the unfinished Pahodawgyi Pagoda a brick counterpart of pyramid in Egypt. The Mingun Bell is the second largest bell in the world and it is the most prominent religious heritages. Then we will visit the Mytheintan Pagoda, the best representation of the Universe. It will refresh your tiredness and fatigue. After visit we will drive back Mandalay.

After lunch break, we will start drive to Ava where is 30 minures to the South of Mandalay. It wass known in the west as the Kingdom of Ava. We will stop by a tributary and cross it with a ferry. Travel by pony-cart around Ava to Nanmyint leaning tower which gives birds eye view of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River; Bagaya wooden monastery; Aungmyaybonza monastery which made of brick and stucco. Though the Royal Palace has gone, the Pagodas, Temples and Monasteries still remain. At the end of the tour, we will drive back Mandalay and transfer you to hotel. On our way back, we will see the silversmith work place. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 4 - Mandalay - RV Paukkan
(Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)
This morning, after breakfast at hotel, you will be transfer to Shwekyetyet Jetty to board RV Paukkan for your one night downstream cruise from Mandalay to Bagan. Turkey Travel Bazaar would like to provide a welcome cocktail in saloon. Cast off time is 11:30 (12:00 RV Paukan). Lunch will be served at 13:00.

In the late afternoon, we stop at Yandabo, a village specialize in Pot making, where the peace treaty of the First Anglo-Burmese was signed on Feb, 24, 1826. Moor overnight near the village of Shwe Nann Tint. Overnight on board RV Paukkan.

Day 5 - Bagan
(Breakfast included)
Early in the morning, we proceed downriver to Bagan. After breakfast we will visit another typical river village if time is allowed. Enjoy the sunrise near Bagan and isembark at Bagan Aye Yar jetty by 09:30. You will be welcomed by your tour guide and we will transfer to your hotel in Bagan for settle down.

After a short break, we shall start our sightseeing excursion around the Bagan Archaeological Zone World Heritage Area. A comprehensive exploration of Bagan includes Nyaung Oo market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; Kyansittha Umin; Wet-kyi-inn Gubyaukgyi Temple with exquisite mural painting of 13th century and Htilominlo Temple.

In the afternoon, after a visit to lacquer ware workshops; Turkey Travel Bazaar will lead you to continue visiting Manuha Temple which built by exile King Manuha; Nanphaya, said to have been the residence of King Manuha; Ananda Temple, architectural masterpiece and Oak-Kyaung monastery decorated with multi colour mural paintings. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from one of the temple of Bagan. At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore this city. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 6 - Bagan - Mt. Popa - Began - Yangon

This morning you can join the optional excursion for watching the sunset over Bagan. Afterward we will drive you back to hotel and have your breakfast.

After breakfast, we will head to Mt. Popa about 48 km south east of Bagan. Mt. Popa, known as the abode of Nats (spirits) - a collection of 37 magical spirits both feared and honoured by some Myanmar people and the nat museum, which houses 37 life-size nat statues sculpted from teak. Its time to climb for 777 steps to the summit.

Then proceed to Popa Mountain Resort (1hr drive) for our lunch. The restaurant offer a great view to the Popa summit that stands straight from the central plain. After lunch, return drive back to Bagan. On the way back, enroute stop at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees, and its conversion to brown sugar.
At the end of the tour, transfer you to Nyaung U airport to have your flight fly back to Yangon. Upon arrival, we will arrange the transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 7 - Yangon City Tour - End of the Tour

After breakfast at hotel, shall start our full day city tour. We will visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda of Rudyard Kipling fame and one of Myanmars most sacred places. Continue by car to Karaweik, a royal barge for fantastic photo shot along the pilgrims causeway across the Royal Lake with stunning views of Schwedagon Pagoda. Continue by car to visit Chaukhtutgyi, a hue reclining Buddha image. After lunch, visit the Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market) for souvenir shopping.

At the end of the tour, regarding your flight departure time, we will arrange your transfer to Yangon International Airport for your international flight back home.
