Tour Itinerary

07:30 - 08:30 Our staff will come to your hotel to pick you up and transfer you to meeting point. (Pick up time can be change according to your hotel location. Pick up time will be given you once you inform us your hotel) After meeting with other tour participents and tour guide, drive to port to take ferry to Princes Island. Princes Islands are famous for the Byzantian Princes, and beautiful pine woods and beaches. There are severla island close to eachother. We will disembark in Big Island (Also , It is called Buyuk Ada). Buyuk Ada is the largest and most enjoyable of the islands. Upon arrival to Big Island we will have lunch in a local restaurant then enjoy a ride in a horsedrawn carriage among the pine trees. Then you will have free time to take picture and self exploronation. take ferry back to Istanbul

At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Brief Info about the sites

Buyukada, it is called in Engilsh Big Island is the largest island among the Princes’ Islands in the Marmara Sea. It covers an area of 5.4 km², and the distance of the island to the nearest Maltepe shore is 2.3 km.

Big Island was used as an exile destination and as a monastery region during the Byzantine Christian period. The island was also used to exile the close relatives of kings and statesmen who might have threatened their political power. Furthermore, the island was also used as a prision for those who opposed the ones in power. One of the oldest structures on the island was a convent used for the exile of the Byzantine empress and for clergymen who lived in seclusion; however, this structure has not made it to the present day.. Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting exiles to the convent, named Kadınlar Manastırı, was the Byzantine empresses, Irene, who had the monastery built.

سلام للكل رحلى روعة كانت عن طريق مكتب ترفل بازار وتنظيم جيد من وقت من الفندق حتى وصلنا بالعبارة الى الجزيرة والغداء في الجزيرة والحنتور ورجعة كله كان حلو ومظم بشكل كويس

Great trip to do in Istanbul and discover. It is a great, silent island nearby the city. It was kind of escape a day from the city.

It was the best for me beacuse the Byzantine Pricess had been lived there and also. It was a silent island only transportation by horse carriges and also bike. No voice, no noise. Recommend this island to see even one day.

Different land in the Marmara Sea. It was nice island, silent, no car, only horse carriages, bike or walking, I liked the life there.
