Tour Itinerary

07:30 -08:30 You will be picked up from your hotel for Byzantine Relics Tour and you will be taken to meeting point. (Pick up time can be change according to your hotel location. Pick up time will be given you once you inform us your hotel). After meeting with group tour participants and your istanbul tour guide, you will start to tour by visiting St. Sophia and continue to Blue Mosque via Hippodrome. After visiting Byzantine Hippodrome continue to Blue Mosque, visiting inside of the Blue Mosque, Continue to Grand Covered Bazaar which is know as Big Bazaar. Tour guide will inform you about he Grand Bazaar and give you time to discover the bazaar.

Tour will be ended after visiting Grand Covered Bazaar, You will return to your hotel.

Brief Information about the sites

Hagia Sophia : This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great, in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architechtural marvels of all time.

Blue Mosque : Across from St. Sophia built in the 17th century by the architect Mehmet, this is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.

Hippodrome : The scene of ancient chariot races, the ancient Hippodrome, with its four monuments; the GERMAN FOUNTAIN OF WILHELM II, the OBELISK OF THEODOSIUS, the bronze SERPENTINE COOLUMN and the COLUMN OF CONSTANTINE.

Grand Coverd Bazaar : In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops with aech trade having its own area; the goldsmiths' street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as handpainted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onnyxware and meerschaum pipers.

Santa Sophia is a great Church also Blue Mosque was a very beautiful mosque.

We had a stop over in Istanbul so we just had a quick tour in old city. santa sophia was amazing. the people of estambul are very lucky to have this monuments. we liked the tour and our guide dilek was perfect. Thank you
