7 Days Baku and Lahich Tour Then Visit Gabala

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Baku (D)
When you arrive in Baku Airport, you will  meet with our local representative the you will be  transferred to your hotel. You will check into hotel and fresh up at your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Baku.


Day 2 - Old City Tour of Baku  (B + D)
After having your breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up from hotel for Baku Old City Tour.  We will visit the old city - Icheri Sheher, as know as Inner city. It is the historical core of Baku. For a long period of time, an explicit symbol of the Old City was a mulberry tree located behind the Djuma Mosque. It was believed that the tree was several hundred years old. The tree made its way into many sayings and songs popular in the Old City, and became a local landmark. The place where that tree was located was referred to as Mulberry Tree Square. However, in 1970s the mulberry tree was cut down, because of the nearby construction works.

In the city, we will visit Palace of the Shirvanshahs which is the biggest monument of the Shirvan-Absheron branch of the Azerbaijan architecture. Also we will viist the Maiden Tower which is noted landmark and one of Azerbaijan's most distinctive national emblems. In December 2000, both of them became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

At last we will see The Bukhara Caravanserai with its medieval courtyard served as a medieval inn and tavern in the 15th century while the Multani Caravanserai dates to the 14th century. Both inns were presumably built and used by merchants traveling by camel caravan from Bukhara (present-day Uzbekistan) and Multan (India). Both have since been converted into restaurants which serve traditional Azerbaijani cuisine.

At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Baku.


Day 3 - Historical-Art Tour  of Baku  (B + D)
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel for historical art in Baku, including Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape or simply Gobustan, is a hill and mountain site occupying the southeast ending of the Big Caucasian Ridge, mainly in the basin of Jeyrankechmaz River, between the rivers Pirsagat and Sumgait.

Fire worshippers Temple where is the historical roots of the monument go back to the hoary past, to the days when Azerbaijan statehood was only taking shape and establishing itself and Zoroastrianism, the central part in whose ritual is played by fire, was the dominant religion in the country. The flaming torches of gas escaping from under the ground and burning in many places all over the Apsheron Peninsula were believed to have miraculous divine power.

Tonight, you will have your dinner in a local restaurant with national cuisine and following entertainment show. Overnight in Baku.


Day 4 - Baku - Lahich - Gabala (B + D)
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and we shall depart for Ismayilli district village - Lahich. Lahich is a notable place in Azerbaijan, with its authentic handicrafts traditions, particularly related to copper. The village's carpet and rug crafts are also well known in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus. Lahich has an old sewage system (some experts claim that it was built 1000 - 1500 years ago). Due to frequent earthquakes local people have developed sophisticated and authentic construction techniques.

Afterwards, we will continue our drive to Gabala. Upon arrival, we will visit Chukhur-Gabala, the city has an interesting cultural centre, with beautiful Soviet mosaics, a large war memorial, numerous ancient stone houses and the Rashidbek monument, which is shaped as a huge book. And we will viist to rest zone "Seven beauties"

Dinner and overnight in Karavan Hotel in Gabala.


Day 5 - Gabala - Sheki (B + D)
You will have breakfast at your hotel and check out. You will be picked up from the hotel then drive to Sheki. Upon arrival we will have an excursion around the city. Visit to Palace of Sheki Khans (XVIII A.D.) where is the most outstanding and valuable monument of the 18th century Azerbaijan. Also we will viist the resort zone "Markhal" and fortress "Galarsan-Gorarasan".

Dinner and overnight in Karvansaray Hotel in Sheki.


Day 6 - Sheki - Baku (B + D)
You will have breakfast at your hotel and check out. W will drive back to Baku today. When we arrive to Baku, you will check into hotel. The rest of the day is leisure. You can walk around the city and do some little shopping. Enjoy your day in Baku. Dinner and overnight in Baku.


Day 7 - Baku - End of the tour (B)
You will have breakfast at your hotel and check out. Today is your last day, you will have free time until your departure time. Then you will be picked up from your hotel regarding your flight departure time, then  transfer to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman for your international flight back home.
