Kınalı Island
This island has an area of 110 hectares. It was called Porty in the parst. Its highest point is Çınar Tepesi (115 meters). Hristos Monastery, the Armenian Churchs, Cisterns and the old Quarries are worth seeing. Its mosque build in a modern architectural style, attracts attention. The facilities of the Water Sport Club which also includes and Olympic pool, are important assets of the island.
The district of Adalar also includes The Island of Sedef which has a beautiful public beach The Island of Spoon wich is presently a privte property, Tavşan Adası and Sivri ada which are rocky islands and Yassıada on which military facilities are established. Residents of the island havebeen fishing and farming throuhout history. Vineyards, fruit gardens and vegetable orchards made the island a pharmaceutical warehouse. Regular boat service since 1846 also increased the level of interest in the distrect.
